This is a HUGE football weekend: CIML (Central Iowa Metropolitan League*) conference play begins! (Also the NFL and some other Iowa teams play each other.)
According to The Register, the two big match-ups are 7th ranked SE Polk (JM/SCoo) at 5th ranked Ankeny (BD) and 4th ranked Valley(BH) at Marshalltown (SCan), which has averaged 49 points in its first three games, although SCan heard they haven’t won a game.

Urbandale (MO) | @ | Dowling (LF) | FYI: LF’s first cousins go to school there, so she’s happy about picking Dowling. |
Hoover (KCoo) | @ | C.B. Jefferson | I haven’t got a clue about this game, but Hoover could always use a win. |
DSM Lincoln (GB) | @ | Indianola (DS) | GB v. DS—just like the old days in the east hall. DS should do a sketch and send it to GB. |
Sioux City North | @ | Fort Dodge (KCar) | Fort Dodge’s own Mark Cady will be taking tickets at the gate, so lines will be slow because of all the introductions. |
SE Polk (JM/SCoo) | @ | Ankeny (BD) | Hopefully SE Polk’s quarterback got some sleep even though MO has been calling his mother (MO’s realtor) at all hours this week. |
Valley (BH) | @ | Marshalltown (SCan) | FYI: Marshalltown is the hometown of KCar’s Tom. |
