MO's Big Ten Predictions for Week 7

Games
Prediction
Michigan (KCar) @ Michigan State (BH/JJ)
The battle between big and little brother.  Little brother has dominated this rivalry as of late, winning three straight.  Michigan State hasn’t won 4 in a row since MR was a teenager (1958 – which is a guess since no one actually knows MR’s true age).

Prediction:  Michigan State by 3
Trophy:  The Paul Bunyan Trophy (a legendary lumberjack symbolizing the logging history of the schools’ home state)
Purdue (AM/MO) @ Penn State (CS)
Penn State won a boring game against Iowa, while Purdue destroyed Minnesota last week.  Penn State will do just enough to win at home again.

Prediction:  Penn State by 7
Indiana (KA) @ Wisconsin (LF/MR)
This game should be over by the end of the first quarter.

Prediction:  Wisconsin by 35
Ohio State (SL) @ Illinois (KCOo/KW)
The last time Illinois beat Ohio State, they went to the Rose Bowl (2007).  They aren’t going to the Rose Bowl this year, but they will beat Ohio State.

Prediction:  Illinois by 5
Trophy:  Illibuck (a wooden turtle symbolizing the long life expectancy of the rivalry, which happens to be the second longest in the Big Ten)
Northwestern (DS) @ Iowa (BD/GB)
Northwestern has won 5 of the last 6 against Iowa.  Northwestern also has Persa back at QB after he ruptured his Achilles while throwing the game-winning TD against Iowa last year.  But Iowa is at home at night – usually a recipe for success (they are also doing black/gold stripes and two card stunts which SCan describes as being “too much”).

Prediction:  Iowa by 3
Minnesota (SCan)
BYE
Nebraska (JM/SCoo)
BYE
