DwtS Week #4 Sendoff, BL Week #5

DwtS recap from E!Online:

As musical guest Shakira reminded us tonight—hips don't lie.

And it was those wiggly little body parts that helped usher lambada dancers Joanna Krupa and Mya to safety within the first half hour of Tuesday's Dancing With the Stars.

Then again, Michael Irvin and his practically stationary feet also got an easy pass into next week, so maybe this show really is about the fans at home.

And what fickle fans they are.

Ultimate Fighting champ Chuck Liddell and partner Anna Trebunskaya were knocked out of the competition tonight, despite having never experienced the view from last place—not even last night, when their country two-step left much to be desired.

"I had fun. We had a good time, made a run at it," the sweetly soft-spoken fighter said after the elimination. "It's hard to do, I made a shot at it."

"I had so much fun working with you. You are a gentle giant. You are my bear and you are my hippo...That's my nice words to him," added Anna. "And you made me so proud each single week you danced."

So Len Goodman got his wish and the better dancer stayed.

Two weeks removed from the top of the leaderboard, the cute-again Aaron Carter joined Chuck in the bottom two after he and Karina Smirnoff fell short with their unfortunately loca lambada.

They scored only 18, just one point higher than Chuck and Anna.

Meanwhile, bottom-dwellers Irvin and Louie Vito apparently charmed their way to safety on a topsy-turvy night that had the previously middling Melissa Joan Hart—whose Charleston was the judges' encore of choice tonight—sharing the top spot with the always appealing Mya.

The remaining 10 stars will dance twice next week—a group hustle and either the paso doble or Argentine tango.

BL recap:

Biggest Loser Week 5 started off with a temptation – more surprises under silver platters. Ali informed the crew that starting now it’s Blue vs. Black, and one person will be choosing the teams.

Control of the teams was under one of those silver platters but also under them -- $1,000 or 1,000 calories, so the contestants had to decide whether they wanted to play the game.

And guess who was up for the game? “You know I’m gonna play,” said Queen Crazy Eyes Tracey.

Rudy immediately landed on a 1,000-calorie slab of cake. Rebecca won a 300-calorie doughnut. Allen got a teeny 100-calorie chocolate cupcake. Danny got a monster 780-calorie cupcake. With sprinkles.

Next up was Tracey, and as Coach Mo said: “a magical wind was blowing.”

And guess what Tracey got? Yeah, the golden ticket. “It was supernatural,” Coach Mo said.  I'm pretty sure he thinks she’s a witch.

And with that, the game was over. No one even won the $1,000! The rest of the contestants were quite concerned about what The Queen would do. “There’s no telling what Tracey’s gonna do at this point,” Dina said.

Tracey chose Bob to train her team, which is Blue. Jillian was disappointed. “All I wanted to do was just pound her within an inch of her life,” she said.

Blue team: Tracey, Mo, Allen, Liz, Rudy, Rebecca.
Black team: Daniel, Shay, Abby, Danny, Amanda, Dina.

Tracey said something absolutely nuts about herself before she chose the last two members: “You gotta stop trying to please people and you’ve gotta please yourself.” What? Isn’t that what she’s been doing all along? She hasn’t been too people pleasing since the show began. And now nobody likes you again, Tracey.

“This is the beginning of World War 3,” said Danny. Nobody believed that Tracey made her decisions “from the heart” like Tracey said.

Quote of the week, from Liz: “I am puttin’ her ass home in the most evil way possible. I’m serious. … She wants to win? She needs to do it at home.”

Then we got to inspect Amanda’s workout vomit! “There’s chunks of Granny Smith in there,” Amanda said to Jillian.

Gosh, I hope she was talking about the apple.

Liz then promptly passed out in the gym. “My head’s on straight,” Liz said to Bob. “Hell yeah. I got an agenda.”

Dina had a showdown with a high step, which she just could not conquer. For a beginning exerciser those steps really can be a bear.

The challenge: Each team races up the hill lugging one of their teammates on a platform, Cleopatra style. The winner gets videos from home. Blue Team finished first and got to get their videos from home, which were very sweet -- especially when Liz gave up her video for her former teammate Danny (sniff, sniff).

Last-chance workout: Jillian had her team push and drag each other around the gym while Bob took his team to 24 Fitness for a 24 S.E.T. class (which is a great combination of weights and cardio; check it out sometime if you’re a member). Jillian ended her workout with the dreaded high step. Dina still couldn’t conquer it.

Weigh-in and elimination: Tracey was exulting because she lost 7 pounds and brought out the crazy when no one shared in her joy. “Don’t you bring out the daggers – bwah ha ha!” she said. Rudy has now lost 73 pounds in five weeks on the ranch – crazy! And in a dramatic finish, Shay obliterated 16 (!) pounds giving Black team the win. Blue team has to send someone home – hellooo, Tracey! Liz got immunity because she had the highest percentage of weight loss. The discussion between the Blue team members was interesting – Coach Mo thought she should go home. “Coach Mo? No! No!” as Rebecca said. But the tide started turning toward eliminating Coach Mo. Which is what they did.

Booooo!

But that means another week of hatin’ on Queen Crazy Eyes.

The update: “America, the next time you see me, it won’t be on the sidelines, it’ll be in the game.” Coach Mo started at 355 pounds and now he’s 279. Best of all, he's coaching kids on how to lead healthier lives.

Next week: One team gets to go home for a week (that would be Blue, from the promo), and it looks like there are some French fries to be avoided.

~~~~~~
So, we say goodbye to Chuck Liddell (SCoo) from DwtS and Coach Mo (KM) from the BL.
