REALITY SHOWS
Survivor and America's Next Top Model started last night, and one person has already been eliminated from a show!
On SURVIVOR, the first person voted out by their tribe was:
Semhar Tadesse (24)
Tribe designation: Savaii
Contestant: KCar
Semhar, a spoken word artist, volunteered to shoot coconuts into a huge basket for her team. She didn't realize how heavy they were and really only tried to throw a couple of them. Her team was displeased, and she was voted out by Savaii tribe.
However, she has not yet been eliminated from the game. That's right friends, I already have a contestant teetering on the verge of elimination. As the overall loser from our 2009 COARSE, this is feeling pretty familiar. Semhar may still "redeem" herself later in the game, if she defeats the contestant sent to Redemption Island next week in some sort of duel. I'm not exactly sure what that means. I'd hope for an actual knife or pistol duel, but given that this chick can't throw a coconut (and I'm totally assuming I could throw more than two--sounds like a fun work challenge!), I don't think she's going to excel at an olde times duel. Anyway, if she doesn't defeat the other loser next week, I will be officially out of this game. So everyone gets a point this week in survivor but KCar. SuX0r.
On AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL (ANTM), the first person eliminated from the show was:
Brittany (29)
Contestant: LF
According to KW, who watched last night, this season of ANTM is an all-stars show, full of catty rejects from the other SIXTEEN other cycles of the show (I had no idea there had been that many seasons/cycles of this show). KW is not pleased by this fact, so we'll have to see if she continues to watch for us!
KW reported that Brittany got voted off because the live audience during the first show didn't really seem to remember her from her previous season, and because her personality didn't seem strong. How are you feeling now that you've been rejected twice, Brittany?
Our contestant, who receives no points for Brittany's ouster, is LF! Sorry LF! Hope you weren't into this show! All other contestants receive a point.
Tomorrow we will draw contestants for THE AMAZING RACE, which starts in two weeks.
TOP CHEF will not be starting until NOVEMBER 2ND, so we've got some time on that one!
