Put away your dancin’ shoes, KCoo, because Ron Artest was the first contestant kicked off DWTS:
Here are my thoughts about all the contestants’ first dances:
Ron Artest (KCoo): Creepy! He looked like Dennis Rodman, only not as cool, and I don’t think Dennis Rodman is cool. Unlike other professional athletes who have done well on the show, his dancing wasn’t agile or fluid. He didn’t really dance, he was just tall and gawky and…creepy! He deserved to go! Judges’ Score: 14 (show low)
Rob Kardashian (GB, MO): Stiff and nervous. He looked a little like Dean Martin though. The audience was full of Kardashians, but Scott (jerk) and Chris (Kim’s husband) were absent. Bruce Jenner looked bored. Judges’ Score: 16
Kristin Cavallari (JJ, KA): She’ll be around awhile. She could be a contender. Judges’ Score: 19
Chynna Phillips (CS, SCan): Very good. And she’s married to a Baldwin (Billy), who knew? Len (the head judge) said it was one of the best first dances in the history of DWTS. Judges’ Score: 22 (tied for show high)
Nancy Grace (BH, KW): She wasn’t good. She started her dance behind a desk, and it made no sense. She was in the bottom three this week, and I predict she’ll be off the show early. Judges’ Score: 16
David Arquette (JM/SCoo): He messed up a few times, but could be good. Courtney Cox and PeeWee Herman were in the audience for him. I don’t know much about David Arquette, but can someone tell me: Does he always act so goofy or was he under the influence of something both nights? Judges’ Score: 18
Elisabetta Canalis (LF): She was predicted to be good, but I thought she was awful. I’m guessing her fame jumped the shark when her relationship with George Clooney ended. She was in the bottom three this week. Judges’ Score: 15
Hope Solo (BD): She did fine, and she might be around awhile. The show made too many jokes about her being too strong and unfeminine. Judges’ Score: 21
Carson Kressley (DS, MR): Danced to “Moves Like Jaggar,” and his impressions of Mick were hilarious. I’m not sure how well he’ll do in a serious dance. Judges’ Score: 17
J.R. Martinez (AM): Danced very well, and the judges seemed to like him. I think the “Proud to be an American” voters will dial in for him no matter what. Judges’ Score: 22 (tied for show high)
Ricki Lake (SL): She surprised me and did very well, but I don’t think she can win it. Judges’ Score: 20
Chaz Bono (KCar): He admitted he was nervous from all the pressure along with being the first transgender contestant. He did very well, but his parents did give him musical genetics (and female genetics). I hope he dances to one of his mom’s songs a future show. Cher was not in the audience that I could see. Judges’ Score: 17
